“*Excludes Family Law Cases”

Many West Virginia law firms might seem the same. We believe we’re different. That’s because we take the time to find out what makes each legal case unique. And that starts with our very first meeting with a client.

When you contact us, we won’t tell you what to do. We’ll listen. We work this way because we realize that the person who knows the most about your situation is you. We want to learn more about your legal problems and help you develop a legal strategy that is right for you.

Best of all, you don’t have to spend a dime to find out if we’re the right law firm for you. We offer a free case evaluation to all potential personal injury and employment law clients. You can talk to a member of our legal team about your options, free of charge.

(Please note our that free case evaluation offer does not include family law cases. Applicable fees apply for your initial case evaluation for such cases. Thank you.)

A woman sits in the reception area of Klie Law Offices, holding a clipboard. The office name is displayed on the wall behind her, next to a desk with a computer and a cup. She is smiling and looking towards the camera.

What should I do to prepare for my free case evaluation?

If possible, bring any evidence you think might make your case stronger to your meeting with us. For employment law cases, please bring all of the following if you have them:

  • Employment records
  • Employee manuals
  • Workplace evaluation documents
  • Write-ups, reprimands and other disciplinary documents
  • Names and contact information for witnesses
  • Financial records, such as pay stubs and bank statements

For a potential personal injury case, please bring all of the following documents if you have them:

  • Medical records such as prescriptions and visit summaries
  • Receipts for any expenses related to your accident
  • Police accident reports and any other accident or incident reports (employer, property owner, etc.)
  • Photographs and videos
  • Financial records, such as pay stubs and bank statements
  • Names and contact information for witnesses

But if you don’t have any of the documents listed above, don’t worry. We can investigate and recover the evidence you need. The important thing is that you talk to an attorney as soon as possible, before evidence disappears and legal deadlines expire.

You can come to us, or we can come to you

We understand that many people do not have access to knowledgeable employment or injury attorneys in their area. That’s why we work through telephone or email contact to establish a relationship and start working on your case without delay. If you can’t make it to one of our offices, we can meet with you in your home, your hospital room or wherever’s convenient for you. We’re happy to travel to all 55 counties of West Virginia.

“We travel to homes of injured folks quite often to do the initial client intake interviews,” Attorney Kolenich said. “I travel to mediations all the time and go to my clients.”

We work this way because we truly care about our clients’ needs. We understand people lead busy lives, and legal issues only make them busier. We know West Virginia’s legal system inside and out, and we’re ready to help you.

Do I really need a lawyer?

Some people want to wait to contact an attorney. They might believe their legal problems aren’t that serious. Perhaps they received an offer from an employer or insurance company interested in settling their case.

Don’t be so sure. Most legal cases only get more complicated over time. And if you wait too long to contact a lawyer, you could jeopardize the outcome of your case. Important deadlines may be missed and evidence could disappear. The statute of limitations on your case could run out, and you’ll lose your right to pursue justice.

If you’re a victim of illegal employment practices, or you’ve been hurt in an accident, take action now. Call (866) 408-9059.
